THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG/VIDEO(English follows) 曲やビデオの裏話 

こんにちはみんな様。 前にも述べたように私と甥っ子（彼は決してカメラシャイではありません）のビデオで、この童謡を録音した唯一の理由を説明しました。 
とにかく、私はフランス人の同僚に連絡を取り、この曲をフランス語で歌ってくれるかどうか尋ねました。 彼の答えは、「フランスでは、これは童謡です。」 それを歌うのはばかばかしいと感じるだろう。」 母に聞かせたところ、母の反応はこうでした。「これは素晴らしい録音だよ、子供たちはきっと気に入るはずよ」…うーん。 そこで私は、「どうすれば大人たちにこの音楽を聴いてもらえるだろうか」と考えました。 
子供の歌だとわかっているからといって、それを無視しないでしょうか？ それからそれは私に衝撃を与えました。 もし歌詞がより深い意味を持つようになれば、リスナーの興味は最高潮に達し、歌詞の内容を先入観を持たずに聴いて、そして（できれば）このアレンジを楽しむことができるでしょう。

Hello everyone. As I stated before 
In the  video of me and my nephew(who is definitely not camera shy), I explained the sole reason why I recorded this nursery rhyme.   
Anyways, I reached out to a French colleague and asked if he would sing the song in French.  His reply was, ” in France, this is a child’s song. I would feel ridiculous singing it.” I played it for my mother and her response was,” this is nice; the kids will love it”….. Mmmm. So I thought to myself,“ how can I get grown-ups to listen to this music  
and not dismiss it simply because they know it’s a kid’s song”? Then it hit me: If the lyrics took on a deepeer meaning, and I explained  it, perhaps it would peak the listener’s interest enough for them to listen without prejudging the lyrical content, and (hopefully) enjoy this arrangement.
